Aldbourne
Aldbourne is surrounded by rolling chalk hills and is within easy reach of Hungerford, Marlborough and Swindon. St. Michael’s Church which overlooks the village green dates back to the 11th century.
This attractive village with approximately 2000 residents has excellent facilities: an outstanding primary school, two excellent pubs, a post office, a small supermarket, hairdresser plus other small businesses (see the list of local businesses on this site).
There are many clubs and groups within the community including ALEC, the local drama group, Aldbourne Scouts and Girl Guides – to see the full list of clubs and groups, click on the tab above.
Walkers, runners, horse riders and cyclists enjoy the many footpaths and byways which criss-cross the surrounding hills.
We have two excellent cafe’s too – Aldbourne Post Office Deli & Cafe and Time For Tea – both in the centre of the village.
