20-mph Scheme Installation

Works to install the 20-mph scheme on roads to the south of the B4192 (Farm Lane, The Garlings, Southward Lane, The Butts, Marlborough Road, Castle Street & Whitley Road) which was approved in 2023, will commence around 15 June 2026. (Please note that the works are subject to weather and operational issues.) At this time, we are not aware that there will be any road closures for the works, but keep an eye out for signage to advise if that will be case.

This new scheme is being installed to help improve pedestrian safety in these areas. The Parish Council does intend to investigate similar schemes in other areas of the parish, subject to the outcome of this first scheme
