Damage in Goddards Play Area

The Parish Council is sad to report there has been damage to the surface of the Goddards Play Area due to someone digger several holes. It is unknown if this was over enthusiastic metal detectors or something else, but the ground was left in a very poor state and there was the potential for someone to injure themselves on the holes that remained.

DIGGING OF ANY KIND IS NOT PERMITTED ON PARISH COUNCIL LAND AT ANY TIME.

Update 14 January – It has been suggested that this might have been carried out by nighthawks (illegal metal detectors). Whatever the cause it has been reported to the police.
