Warning to pet owners

An invasive non-native and toxic plant known as ‘Southern Poke Weed’ has been found in three gardens in Aldbourne. The seeds are poisonous to pets, birds and humans. See more in the August issue of Dabchick on page 13.

Wiltshire Refuse & Recycling have asked DO NOT put the plants into the Green bins. Please incinerate the plant; if that isn’t possible, double-wrap in plastic and dispose in the Household Waste bin. Always wear gloves when handling this toxic weed.
