Our Village

Aldbourne

Aldbourne is surrounded by rolling chalk hills and is within easy reach of Hungerford, Marlborough and Swindon.  St. Michael’s Church which overlooks the village green dates back to the 11th century.

This attractive village with approximately 2000 residents has excellent facilities: an outstanding primary school, two excellent pubs, a post office with delicatessen and café, a small supermarket plus other small businesses (see the list of local businesses on this site).

There are many clubs and groups within the community including ALEC, the local drama group, Aldbourne Scouts and Girl Guides – to see the full list of clubs and groups, click Village Groups or the tab above.

Walkers, runners, horse riders and cyclists enjoy the many footpaths and byways which criss-cross the surrounding hills.
