Winterbourne Clearance – 7 November 2026
A clearance of the Winterbourne (bourne/brook/stream) will be undertaken on Saturday 7th November by volunteers from across the village.
More volunteers are always welcome. Please meet at Winterbourne opposite the pond at 9.00 am. What ever time you can give would be gratefully received. The volunteers will be along the stretch between Ivy House and Farm Lane.
Please bring rakes, forks, shears, wheelbarrows and any other tools which you think may be helpful. Gardening gloves or similar are a good idea too. Suitable clothes and footwear for wet/muddy work are recommended.
It is not suitable work for young children but teenagers may be able to help if physically fit. Though, they must be accompanied and under the supervision of an adult at all times.
